Rick Taylor

Rick has had a great love for music all of his life. His birth name is Rickey and he was actually named after Ricky Nelson. Priding himself on being extremely versatile he has performed with a wide variety of bands; everything from a singles act to an 8 piece show group, as well as performing at Barn Dances, Jazz parties, Oldie Sock-Hops, and Classical guitar recitals for wedding ceremonies. In addition he has put on extremely successful tribute shows to artists such as Elvis Presley and Marty Robbins. His performances have included working both as a sideman (playing guitar and singing back-ups), and as the lead performer, which is where he does his best work.

Rick sings lead and harmony vocals (4 octave range) and plays lead and rhythm guitar. As a serious student of his craft, his studies include music theory and he reads music well.

Rick currently lives in Colorado Springs, and teaches guitar at the Graner Music Studios in Colorado Springs (see the link provided). As an aside, he also holds a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering. You can find him on the web at: www.ricktaylor.net
